Jul 29, 2026 — Balancing + Bug Fixes

The big post-launch balancing patch. Key changes:

A second gun can be purchased in the store and used during regular store hours.
Endless Mode / Post-Story Mode: monsters called The Rakes now slowly emerge from the forest. You must shoot them before they reach the playable area — or "bad stuff will happen."
Patience was removed in Endless Mode / Post-Story Mode (the mechanic no longer applies there).
Various bug and crash fixes.
Next content update: "more customers!!" — more Doppelgangers/customers are confirmed on the way.

Jul 23, 2026 — 6-Player Lobbies + Fixes

A day-one patch that addressed player feedback on lobby size:

6-player lobbies: when creating a lobby you can now select a max player count of 6.
⚠️ Important caveat: the developer explicitly notes the game is designed and marketed around a maximum of 3 players. 4–6 is "outside the way the game is designed" — too chaotic, not recommended for a first playthrough.
Fixed lobby creation for players in Russia.
Lowered Marionette HP (easier boss fight).
Made the Jack-in-the-Box louder (easier to hear the cue).
Removed the profanity filter.
Various minor bug fixes.

Jul 22, 2026 — Launch & Networking Branch

Full launch on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and Game Pass (day one).
Same day, the developer published "Can't Join a Lobby?" — a temporary beta branch (network-issues-patch, access code networkissues) to fix widespread Steam lobby-join failures. A permanent fix was promised for the main version.
Steam was listed in the Global Top Sellers chart in its launch week.

What's Coming Next

Confirmed by the developer across the July posts and the Steam store page:

More customers / Doppelgangers — the announced next content update. The July 30 patch note ends with "Next content update will contain more customers!! Coming soon :D".
A crash-and-cursor fix in the next minor patch. The developer stated the next small update "will aim to address the issue of people who crash, and are then unable to interact with the cursor or any buttons in the game," adding that new content arrives "right after a few more bug fix updates."
A permanent networking fix for lobby joins (replacing the temporary beta branch).
Endless Mode major free update — Q4 2026. This is now stated outright on the Steam store page, not merely hinted: a free major "Endless Mode" update planned for Q4 2026, bringing special customers, weapons, traps and alien creatures. The July 30 patch already began seeding Endless-specific content (Rakes, patience removed).

Is the game still getting updates? Yes — two patches in the first week of release, and the developer has said more customers are coming.

Does the 6-player lobby apply on Xbox/Game Pass? The patch changelog centers on Steam lobbies. Console lobby sizes follow the store listing's 1–3 co-op design; treat 6-player as a Steam-side option.

Should I switch to the network beta branch? Only if you're having lobby issues. The beta branch is temporary and only needed while the permanent networking fix is in progress.
