Freed
Kill a Demented, the weeping-angel enemy that freezes while observed. Bait one onto a bear trap or landmine instead of trusting the freeze — it's inconsistent.

How to unlock: Kill a Demented
Difficulty: Medium
Dementeds are the "weeping angel" monsters — they freeze while you're looking at them and close distance when you aren't. Reports place their activity from around Night 7 onward.
The reason this sits at Medium rather than Easy is a single detail worth internalising: the freeze is inconsistent. Never treat staring as a guaranteed lock. Players who try to solve a Demented purely by keeping it in view are the ones who get caught.
- Bait it onto a trap line. Bear traps and landmines are the reliable answer. Place two or three in a corridor, pull the Demented toward them, and let the traps do the work — no staring required, and no risk of the freeze failing at the wrong moment.
- Trap kit first. This needs the Trap Kit unlocked from the shop, which is why most players earn Freed around Night 7 rather than earlier.
- Don't melee it. Getting into swing range of something that moves when unobserved is the worst version of this fight.
- If you must shoot, do it with a full magazine and a wall at your back so it can't close from behind.
