How to unlock: Finish a Hunt within 30 seconds
Difficulty: Hard
The rarest achievement in Shift At Midnight by a wide margin — community-reported unlock rates put it around 12% of players, against 70–85% for the easy tier. It's the only one that's a genuine skill-and-setup check.
The timer starts when the Hunt music begins, not when you first take damage. Watch the HUD timer rather than counting yourself — misreading the start point is the most common reason a run that felt fast doesn't register.
Two reliable strategies
1. Pre-staged bear traps + landmines (the consistent one) Place three traps in the spawn corridor before the Hunt starts. The Entity walks the line and dies in roughly 10 seconds. This needs the Trap Kit and Mines from shop upgrade tier 2, so it only comes online around Night 6 or later — but once available it's close to automatic.
2. Flamethrower corner-cheese (available earlier, riskier) Kite the Entity into a corner near the vent entrance and burn it down. Takes 25–35 seconds with a fully upgraded Flamethrower, which means you're fighting the clock as well as the Entity. Usable before you have traps, but expect several failed attempts.
Farming attempts
You can re-trigger Hunts by skipping nights in Endless Mode, which makes this far less painful than grinding story runs.
